Mountain View scored a golden goal in the second overtime to earn a 1-0 win over Skyline in the 5A high school boys soccer state tournament third-place game Saturday at Post Falls High School.
Jose Lorenzana made nine saves for Skyline while Ibrahim Ibrahim stopped 10 shots for Mountain View.
Skyline concludes its season at 14-7-1.
Post Falls 3, Boise 0: At Coeur d’Alene, Timmy Mueller scored two goals and Brady Hite added a third to lead Post Falls (17-1-1) past Boise (17-3-0) in the state championship game.
Centennial 2, Borah 2 (Centennial won in penalty kicks): At Post Falls, Finnegan Townsley and Bekir Cinac scored goals in regulation and Centennial survived penalty kicks to win the consolation title.
4A state tournament
Sand Point 3, Skyview 2: At the Idaho Falls Soccer Complex, Anthony Fox, Jeffrey Rokstad and Jeremiah Gagnon each scored a goal to lead Sandpoint to the state title. Gagnon also had an assist and Austin Keyes made two saves for Sandpoint (14-5-2).
Wood River 2, Middleton 1: At the Idaho Falls Soccer Complex, Stephen Pfeiffer and Trevor Brand scored goals while Max Mauldin made two saves to lead Wood River to a win in the third-place game.
3A state tournament
Bonners Ferry 1, Teton 0: At Twin Falls, Jake Tremble scored the game’s only goal and Bonners Ferry held off Teton in the third-place game.
Teton controlled play, forcing Bonners Ferry keeper Garrett Skeen to make 14 saves while Redskins keeper Leo Virginio had to stop just one shot.
Teton finishes the season 13-5-1.
Gooding 1, Fruitland 0: At Twin Falls, Frederico Mendez scored a goal, Carlos Gonzales made seven save sand Gooding (14-1-2) beat Fruitland (12-4-0) to win the state title.
Wendell 1, Weiser 0: At Twin Falls, Jorge Diaz scored the game’s only goal and Wendell won the consolation title.
