Blackfoot beats Burley in season-opener, March 9 baseball round up

At Blackfoot, the Broncos began their season 1-0 after downing the Burley Bobcats 3-0.

The Pimentel duo, Juan and Carlos, led the way for the Broncos, combining for two hits, two RBIs and one run.

Blackfoot took the lead in the bottom of the third frame before tacking on two runs in the fifth.

Blackfoot pitcher Payson Mills recorded the win, striking out six batters in three frames of work. Emerson Stucki recorded a save, striking out three batters in two frames.

Blackfoot (1-0) is schedule to play Madison Tuesday. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.
