Bees score 30 runs on 18 hits in win over rival Knights; April 13 softball roundup

At Ammon, Bonneville compiled 18 hits and had two home runs in a 30-6 four-inning conference win over District 93 rival Hillcrest.

The Bees led 15-3 through five innings before scoring 15 in the fourth. The Knights, who had nine hits, committed 10 errors.

Aly Radford went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, six RBIs and two runs scored, Kourtney Scoresby went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, five RBIs and four runs scored and Liv Lemons went 3 for 5 with three RBIs and three runs scored for Bonneville (8-5, 1-0), which hosts Blackfoot on Wednesday.

IDAHO FALLS 9, PRESTON 0; IDAHO FALLS 13, PRESTON 3 (5 INNINGS): At Tautphaus Park, an eight-run fourth inning in game two propelled Idaho Falls to a conference doubleheader sweep of Preston.

The Tigers blanked the Indians in game one, helped by Alex Billings’ command in the circle (no runs on three hits, no walks, 10 strikeouts in seven innings), and led 5-3 through three innings of game two before Jaidyn Clement began the hit parade.

“That set the tone,” Idaho Falls coach Traci Wilkinson said. “Everybody had a hit after that and there were a couple walks.”

Madi Burton went 4 for 6 with a double, two triples and five RBIs on the day while Clement finished the day 4 for 6 with three RBIs for I.F. (12-3, 4-0), which hosts Hillcrest on Monday in a rescheduled game.

Jesse Neff and Kyla Johnson controlled the circle and Erin Jenkins went a combined 6 for 7 at the plate with two home runs, a double, four runs scored and three RBIs.

Three Grizzlies homered in game one—Jenkins (twice), Elizabeth Peters and Megan Huntsman. Andee Blanchard went 1 for 3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored in game two. The Grizzlies finished the day with 12 extra base hits.

Skyline (9-6) is scheduled to play Thursday at Madison.

Larsen allowed six hits and just one earned run while walking two and striking out 10.

“The win was good,” Snake River coach Kay Martin said. “We forgot to hit the ball for a little bit and Anna Larsen almost had a shut out. But we’ll take a win.”

The Panthers (4-2, 1-0 conference) play Tuesday at Sugar-Salem.
