West J softball routs North Fremont

At Terreton, West Jefferson dominated North Fremont 27-6 in five innings.

The Panthers compiled 13 hits on the day, scoring 18 runs in the first inning. Tyra Pancheri almost hit for the cycle, going 4 for 5 at the plate with two singles, a double and a triple.

“We had a great first innings and were disciplined at the plate,” West Jefferson coach Raquel Torgerson said. “We were able to execute runs every inning. For a windy day, it turned into a good day.”

Tia Pancheri got the win inside the circle for West Jefferson (3-3), which plays Friday in the Glenns Ferry Tournament. North Fremont hosts Shelley on Friday.
